Tennsmoker - that was a funny post you made. Epiphany had been suggested to me in the past. I tried it. Loved the it, but the smoke caused a stranger tingling sensation to my face. I often wonder if I'm allergic to Perique? I find (or think I find) blends that are heavy handed in this...- haroldt

Finally got around to trying Junkyard Dawg! That some good stuff. I find it to be Old Joe Krantz "light" I think it, together with Old Joe, will find a permanent spot on the tobbaccy shelf.- haroldt

Min Wax... wonders for Briar
Over the years I've bought several estate pipes. Of course the briar of many were rather rough, the top of the pipe stained and scorched, while the balance of the briar was dull and dry looking. Rubbing Alcohol and fine steel wool did a great job of cleaning the char off the top of the pipe. But... -

I tried another bowl today in a wider mouth pipes. I left the baccy out for hours, so I know it was dried out, but still had to light and relight. Plus I get super light headed with this. However I don't feel like it's an OD of nicotine. Normally when I smoke a high nic blend I know it right...- haroldt

Trying like crazy to like this blend. I've had about 5 bowls in corn cob pipes. This pipes have been taller then wide. So maybe the wrong pipe, maybe a wider pipe. I've had a hard time keeping it lit even though the tobacco does not seem wet, but I'm lighting and relighting way too often. Any...- haroldt

Dunhill Early Morning Pipe is a wonderful English, and one of my favorites. It is however mild, and since you are looking for something heavy, I would suggest two that are already listed here: C&D Star of the East C&D Da Vinci Both are filled with lat.- haroldt
