I became familiar with Larrysson Pipes (Paul Hubartt) a little over a year ago thanks to @hoosierpipeguy . I'm really not quite sure if Mark blessed me, or cursed me when he showed a few Larrysson pipes he owned, and informing me of Paul's website. After seeing Paul's work first hand, I instantly fell in love with his artistic impression, and the design of his pipes. Within just a few months, I had acquired 5 pipes. I was totally hooked. (shown below) I need more......I must.....have more.
Then....like a bomb going off on my lust for Larrysson pipes. Some unfortunate news began to spread around the pipe community. It was eventually confirmed on the Larrysson Pipes website. Paul was getting out of the pipe making business. He was starting a new business/career. Lucky for me, I had been in contact with him during the summer and fall about doing some commissioned pieces. After discussing with Paul in the winter. I was able to secure a few of the last pipes Paul was ever going to produce. It was also nice to be able to get a few commissioned pieces done on his last tour. Here are a few pipes from the last 2 batches recieved. Currently, his last 4 pipes ever were just completed, and are on their way here from across the pond.
