Rats. I meant to explain that the pipe stand was made for me by my lovely bride, an accomplished potter, and the Xikar scribe was an anniversary gift (as the inscription makes plain) from her as well.

Just got a sample from Tom Darasz at Motzek, of course known around these parts for Strang, with the curly ones. But this is Herbst 84, also known as Fall 84, an English blend. When I stuck my nose in the dime bag, there was a wonderful toffee note. Great smoke in my Viggo Nielsen Old Briar, "Handmade in Denmark" (9mm).
