Starting to Get Obsessed

I have many things that mean a lot to me. Probably my granddad's Marlin 30-30 would be tops of the list. But, none of them are irreplaceable. Except my family and my dog. Dog was supposed to be wife's, but she adopted me.
Was gonna post a pic, but not working so I won't.

Aside from the obvious stuff like family, I tend to become attached to little knick-knacks and things like that so:
My Suunto Core "All Black" on NATO strap pictured with two other favorites, my Surefire and my iPhone.

More recently my pipes.

Also, I'm pretty happy with my house (it's not on wheels anymore):

HA HA! Yeah, I guess not. But it's pretty quiet out here in the boonies so, I don't think I'll have to defend them anytime real soon.

I'm a sentimental guy, so I have alot of things. But this is the short list...
1. 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 289 V8(my parents bought it new in 1965 and I came home from the hospital in it in 1971.

2. A limited edition print of a Shelby GT-350H with Carroll Shelby driving it, also personally signed by C. Shelby as well.

3. A pair of circa 1987 Ray-Ban sunglasses I bought new in 1987(I was 16) for $40.00 and in great shape.

4. A Panama Hat worn and shared by my late Grandparents before they passed away.

5. an assortment of small items owned by grandparents, pocket watch/tie pins/.22 rifle

My favorite material possession has to be my 8 day watch. Given to me as a graduation present from my

grandparents in June of 1971. My grandfather told me to never carry it in the same pocket with keys or

pocket knifes and change, so I've always wore a vest and it had it's own pocket (except when in uniform).

I wind it every Saturday morning. It's never been in the shop but runs perfectly.

Family means everything to me, all other items are just that...items

A few from my other hobby or at least what I can fit in the current space.

I also treasure my Grandfather's old Mason Handbook and Apron. One of these days I would like to join if I can.

I have two.

First is a simple rock I gave to my grandfather when I was7 and told him it was lucky. When I gave it to him it was rough and by the time he died in 2004 it was very smooth and shiny because he carried every day in his pocket. I wouldn't trade it for any amount of money in the world.
The second is my record collection. I never inherited any of my records until recently a few from my girlfriend's dad so a lot of work and fun went into collecting what I have. I love vinyl!

As I don't consider my wife and cats to be material items, I'll go with the following.
1. My 09 Pontiac G8 GT.

2. My tuba.

3. The family piano that got passed down to me a couple years ago.
Good to see you again hobie.

Wives and creatures are not material objects in the sense meant here, I don't think. We value them for their

intangible quality of life. Or that's my take. They certainly are material, in that sense, as am I.
In terms of a material object, I would have to say my "horse," my Subaru Legacy station wagon. It's there

for me and does all manner of labor, hauling lawnmowers and wheelchairs, and baked goods and flea

market donations. Of course, I do love my pipes.
