Your Enduring Fallback Smoke?

So far for me its been Balkan Sansieni and Officers Club!

I don’t have a specific blend that I fall back on. In fact I have very little in my growing cellar that is 4oz or more.

I would say, though, that there is a style I tend to fall back on: English ribbon cut blends. Some that have never tired: Balkan Supreme, Super Balkan, Stratfordshire, Presbyterian, EMP, or my own home blend concoctions that have a nice balance of Virginia, Oriental and Latakia (with the occasional sprinkling of Perique).

For variety I pick either a light burley-based aromatic, or a straight VA (flake or ribbon).

I haven't had a "fallback" in decades. These days I usually open a tin of "whatsis" and smoke it till it's gone, then pick a tin of "whatsis else". I've gone through periods of rotating a couple of blends in a day, but I don't like having a lot of opened jarred tins around.

Carter Hall is probably 50% of my smokes, and Ryback is the other 50%.

No fallback or favorite here. I simply rotate between 20+ blends.

Now that I think about it, Windjammer is probably my fallback.

Right now it's Haunted Bookshop. I intend to add a tin of Pegasus to my next order having never tried it, based on the reviews I've read it may take over.

But, if C&D went tits up, I'd just quit smoking pipes.

Or at least till my cellar ran out. Which is looking like it would take a while thankfully ?

No fallback here. I usually have several jars/tins open at once and pull from one of those. I don’t think I’ve ever had a particular blend get pulled back into the lineup immediately after finishing a tin. Too many that things to choose from, for better or worse.
