I was curious because there are a number of recent studies that show nicotine being really helpful for several types of dementia helpful in reducing certain effects. But you are certainly right about the insurance companies.
Years back went to the nursing home where Wife was a hairdresser. She was going in the dementi ward to do an old ladies hair. Can I go too I asked sure was the answer. Got there and punched the code to get in. Sat down , old lady looks at me and says Who are you. Don’t know what got into me, looked at her I’m the Governor of Louisiana, you should have seen the sparkle in her eyes, told her I’ve come to check on you. We had the best conversion, me telling her she was a special person. Wife was not too happy with my bull?, when she got back to her shop, Silence, never got asked to go back to that ward. Didn’t care I made that ladies day.

My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her late 80s. Once I went to visit her and she called me John the whole time I was there. She thought I was her brother who had died many years before that. I just went along with her, and the upshot was I finally knew where my good looks came from.
