Ok i have made a cple of trades, and purchased an item or two from this site. Every one of them were considered lost. The post office is investigating two of these because the tracking website said they were delivered this past monday.
Not two minutes ago, and man rang my doorbell and asked if anyone lived here that went by Scott Lawrence, I said yes, he goes to his car and digs out all FOUR of my packages, every single one of them had my correct address on them, and they were delivered to his house a few streets over.
I am thinking what in the heck are the odds? All four packages had my correct addy on them, and all four were sent to HIS place instead of mine.
I am happy to have the goods but very disappointed in the situation. Anyway i just thought it was weird.
Scott

Glad to hear that it turned out well in the end, but it is really bad that whoever is delivering these makes the makes the same mistake time after time. I think you should inform the Post Office as who ever works that route needs some re-training!

They called not 30 minutes before this fella showed up. Letting me know that they have not found my package's and that they were still investigating it. I tried calling them back to let them know just how bad a screw up all of this was but they closed at noon today. So my giving them an ear full will have to wait till monday.

Nope not a single one were opened. I am very thankful for the fella who brought these to me. If not for him none of these would have been gotten to me and lost in limbo. So yeah i am very grateful for the guy being honest. And OTD, you can bet your bottom dollar i am going to call them first thing monday morning and let them know whats goin on. Its just too dang weird for me to accept that the mail man just honestly made a mistake. More like he was out of it or something lol.

The other day I received a vintage unsmoked sasieni pipe I bought on ebay...it was run-over by a truck - literally flat, and when I opened it a pile of sawdust and a plastic stem fell out....tire tracks and everything on the box.

I've spent my entire adult life in construction, building things and using machines to shape raw materials into artifact, and I have never seen wood pulverized in this way. When I asked the mailman what happened, he just asked me if it was insured. After evaluating the forgone opportunity of spending time on the phone with the post office, or worse, going to the post office, I decided to just chalk this one up as another typical american experience.

I had one go AWOL then turn up on my doorstep opened. It was just baccy. I think the local hoodlums were expecting something else, maybe electronics or something...

We used to get our mail mixed up with a another family's several streets down. We had the same 4 digit street number but different street names.
Post office sent the other family and us these stickers to place inside the door of our mail box to flag the mail carrier to double check the mail. After that happened the problem was solved.
Hope they are able to resolve that for you!

One of those packages I sent to Bogie glad he got it.

Another memember here sent me a package and I recieved it just 16 days after it was post marked. So he sent me the order again only to recieve it a day after the first one arrived. I am glad the members here are a relaxed bunch of guys, nobody gets to shook up knowing we are taking care of one another.

Thanks Bogie and jcsnaps

Good to hear you got your packages. I have had the same exact issue with my mail. They keep mixing up the

street names. Both my house, and a house on a parallel street have the same number. I keep getting his mail, and he keeps getting mine. I have filed 2 cases with the USPS due to the first one not producing any results.

The carrier even showed up at my door, miffed, asking me all sorts of indignant questions as if I was making this stuff up. My little boy showed up behind me, with a stack of the past few days misdirected mail. I handed it to the carrier, who sort of turned the prettiest shade of red, and mumbled something, then said, "ok" and left.

Nice to see there are still honest folks around! Glad you got your stuff. I've never had a problem with the USPS, but then again, I'm on first name basis with my postman....guess that helps maybe.

You probably have a highly distracted, stressed out postal worker doing your route.
Maybe your neighbor is a mail thief and just realized he doesn't want your pipes.
But you lucked out ... maybe you should go for one of the other shipping companies next time.
