I can't watch it. I would spend the whole time wondering is that the farm he built the baseball field in or is it another one. What happened there to change him so.... That's the problem with having an iconic acting role.... I kid but honestly it seems like catnip for men over a certain age. I don't think I can think of another show in a long time that the fans I meet are so a certain demographic so consistently. Sure some ladies like it some younger people but gosh darn I think I am four or five years away from being ready for it. I've heard college kids call it your dads favorite show and had not one person not go oh you are talking about Yellowstone.

Good action/drama, adult contemporary soap opera. Think “Sons of Anarchy for capitalist conservative gun bearing males that appreciate a firm handshake”.
And yes, I resemble that remark-it’s not a joke.
Breath of fresh American air in a sea of woke bs coming out of Hollywierd, good old FAFO values (**** around and find out).

Women that don’t get off on cuckolding their men, and don’t get offended by a tip of the hat accompanied by a cordial “ma’am” or “miss” tend to like it.

Take my view for what you paid for it, I’m just a guy that gets stuff done, enjoys my food best when it’s had my hands on it from the field to the fork, and really doesn’t care if I’m socially accepted or not.
YMMV

Right now rewatching 1883 prequel to Yellowstone
I lived Yellowstone, but I just couldn’t get into the prequel. I liked YS for the characters, but 1883 just didn’t have anyone on there that I could like or even like to hate.

Although I loved Yellowstone, it just goes to show what shit for brains these large cattle operations are to spend multi-millions of dollars to make about as much profit as a McDonalds manager makes. It was killing, stealing, and corrupt politics to keep a bunch of shitkickers in cowboy hats. Horrible business plan. Nevertheless, it is a good show.

I like 1883 better than Yellowstone but it also enhances Yellowstone to make me like Yellowstone more

You don't need to, 1883 is a different kind of show that shows how the Dutton rach came to be and then there is 1923 that I am waiting to come out on DVD....Yellowstone is set in this day and age and deals with political and family drama..so good. I know a lot of different ages that really like this show....just watch an episode or 2 to get into it

Started going too far IMO with the kidnapping of the grandson and pretty much ruining that poor fictional character forever - after the end of that season I thought it got even more over the top and really started wandering - the whole John/Governor bit was dumb and just couldn’t suspend disbelief anymore and quit watching.

I haven't seen any of this yet, but saw the same thing where writers just spiralled down the porcelain bowl in Andy Griffith, My Three Sons, The West Wing, NYPD Blue or is it Blues (whatever!)....Why can't they make these damn things better and better? Do they start hiring cheaper writers as time goes by or do the creative juices just dry up?
