Does eBay have an auto bid function? Here in NZ you can preload a maximum bid figure ahead of time and then just walk away. Saves that last minute ‘sniping’ I think you guys call it

They do, but it allows other bidders to see your activity and anticipate.

Oh yep ours is slightly less advanced. You just see the bid history and try and guess what the maximum bid is. Ours also has an automatic auction extension, so if any bids are made (auto or manual) in the last 2mins of an auction, the clock goes back to 2mins. Leads to some entertaining bidding wars...well only when watching them I guess
