The lack of a numeric designation and apparent lack of a Punto Oro brass dot on the stem nearly made me pass this one up on Ebay, but I'm hoping the dot is just concealed by the oxidation. Compared to other bamboo Punto Oros, the stem appears to be original.

Isn’t the dot brass? Probably hard to get covered up. Maybe it’s an autograph?
Nah, I've seen better photos of the stamping, it's a Punto Oro. A couple of my Punto Oros dots were brownish green when I got them, and they blended perfectly with the stem oxidation.

A cool piece to add to your collection. Never seen one of those before. I thought it was an Autograph too when I saw it. But I’m not much of a collector/historian, so my knowledge base is pretty scant. ?‍♂️
Savinelli had a limited line of bamboo Punto Oros but to be honest, using bamboo on a Punto Oro grade surprised me. There are a couple more on Ebay as well.

I love seeing that line up pic btw. Do you have a favourite out of them? Or lean towards a particular finish/stem or mount style?
As much as I love sandblasts and the Capri finish, the Alligator is the favorite. It was the first of the bunch, picked out for me by my youngest daughter when she was four, and my dad smoked Old Dark Fired in it the last time I saw him before he passed away. It may even be my favorite pipe altogether.
