Ah, yes, Kalvort questioned alcohol use in production and whether there would be any residual. I'm always afraid of coming off like a chicken little on these kinds of things. I apologize for being defensive about it!

latbomber, I took a tour of the Partagas and Cohiba factories in October of 2000. We had a private tour of the Cohiba factory as that was not open to the public back then( not sure if it is still not open to the public) and it was totally fascinating. I was amazed at the lack of quality control at the Cohiba factory because I saw rollers being lazy and not using the entubar rolling method even though they were supposed to be using it.
I spent 3 days with Carlos Fuente Jr getting a private tour of his factories and the quality control in his factories blew away the Cuban factories. One day we went to the Opus farm and at the end of the tour we sat on the veranda there smoking Opus Serie X no 2's while drinking espresso. It was one special day. The first day Carlito grabbed fresh Opus( Hummers) from the rolling table and we smoked those first thing in the morning. Those things were so freaking strong.
Back to the original topic, I really don't care what they put in my tobacco as long as it tastes good. I smoked Marlboro reds for over 25 years so I am sure that whatever is in my pipe tobacco is a lot better than the reds.
