Mo Meerschaum just shut down over employee safety issues. There was no skulduggery by the government or anyone else. And, no, Washington is not a suburb of St. Louis. It is just a rural town that lies west of St. Louis along the Missouri River out in the middle of nowhere. They announced their closing two-three weeks ago.

I make 98k usually, but last year I only worked untill September. And we got our 1200 each, plus 500 for a child.

In the EU, if a company reports a single employee diagnosed with COVID 19 , the public health department closes the business down for the duration of the state of emergency. Maybe something similar happened ..

I don't know what the laws are in Missouri, but in Wisconsin, this is the law. The company I work for is considered essential, so we are doing business. However, if we have someone in the building, that comes down with COVID-19, within 14 days of being in our building, Health and Human Services will shut us down, for 14 days.
