Inspiring!
I told my wife that I'm including some tobacco plants this year ... "they're natural insect repellents" :)

Y'know, I'm a terrible gardener. I hate yardwork, and we xeriscaped our backyard specifically to be low-maintenance (automated watering system, perennials rather than annuals, large flagstone patio and a swath of low-lying ground cover...). And yet, I read this thread and I suddenly get the urge to plant some tobacco just to see if it will grow in Colorado (I know some gardeners who do marvelous things with tomatoes and peppers, so theoretically it's possible).
Y'all are enablers. And admittedly, I find yardwork a lot less onerous if I view it as an extended smoke break... :P

I'm loving watching this thread over time.
Thanks for keeping up with posting.
It's making me get the itch to plant a couple.
I live in WV and there is a bit of tobacco farmed in the state, so I might be able to pull it off!
