Does freezing affect the taste of tobacco?

No need to freeze tabac, just keep tabac in Mason/Ball jars, stored in containers, and if humidity is an issue, you live in dry conditions, then consider using some Boveda packs to store next to the jars, in the containers, or occasionally placing a small one for a short time inside a jar.

If storing to age the tobacco, don't open the jar until you're ready to smoke most of it. No need to alter moisture content for airtight storage unless it's very damp, in which case should be dried down to hinder mold.

The only reason to put in the freezer is to kill bugs, but it should be for as short a time as possible.

Nothing but they have a nice little crackle and pop! (HAHA! :)!

". . . main stream cigars (even cubans now) are frozen before distribution, freezing the leaf kills the eggs, for anyone that are buying up the current market of farm rolled cubans it's worth noting those aren't frozen and you should toss them in the freezer for 24 hours if you plan on storing them with your regular sticks."

So, should I feel safe with any Habanos bought now and NOT freeze them? Thanks very much!
kindly,
