Haha! Last week my mum asked me how many jars I had in my 'cellar'. She was assuming I had ~17 tops. When I told her "about 42" she just facepalmed.

My wife has 3/4 of our small house filled with her stuff. Although my stash is getting unwieldy, I am an amateur in comparison.

But she's Tollerant of me. I just match the price per month vs her cigarettes. Fair play.

My wife has generally been OK with my TAD orders. My saving grace has been that ordering online from the US was that much cheaper than buying pipe tobacco here in Australia which makes for a good argument to buy more. $10 USD per tin vs $50 AUD then ($100 AUD per tin now).

I must admit I haven’t declared all orders (to my wife ), but I suspect she knows. By any standard my ‘cellar’ is very modest compared to some of you guys.

Now that Australia has clamped down on international mail orders, I’m happy that I ordered as much as I did when it was still possible.

Never tried to hide anything but avoiding little remarks is a bonus.

The first step in overcoming tobacco shame is to admit you have a problem and make amends to the loved one who has been harmed by your misdeed. This is my recommendation.

(But failing that, find a better place to hide your shit).

This is exactly why one needs junk pipes to restore and carve! If they can't keep track of what you have by visual identification it is much easier to sneak the occasional one, two or even three new pipes.
