Why No Cigar Review Sites Like Tobaccoreviews.com?

So, maybe the answer is that there are some cigar review sites, but they're varried and not centrific as in tobaccoreviews.com ...and pipe guys who smoke cigars don't like the radio ...and there is no real pure Virginia cigars, so I'll have to roll my own.

As a member of CigarGeeks.com I can strongly recommend that site. There are currently 30700+ cigar reviews, and there are currently 46700+ cigars listed in their database. There are 860+ Geek Critiques where 4-6 members all review the same cigar at the same time and submit their reviews. Its interesting to see how the reviews are the same and differ on certain cigars when doing the Geek Critiques. I would say it's the most extensive cigar website on the internet. Now not all the reviews are solid, as you'll get some typical short Cigar Aficionado style reviews, but there are many detailed reviews as well. I've submitted 191 reviews, and all good reads if I do say so myself

Thanks for this info mhcg--I noticed there are a number of cigar apps for the Iphone, including one (Cigar Boss Pro) that costs 19.99 8O CigarGeeks comes in at a more reasonable 3.99 and based on your recommendation I'm getting the app now.
That said, when I do a search for pipes on the app store all I get are games or pipe fitter tools! Aren't there any apps for us pipe smokers :?

The problem is that databases get traffic over time, where blogs get traffic that is novelty-sensitive.

I love cigars and I love pipes but switching from cigar to pipe was an economical choice for me. I can spend $13 on an Ashton VSG for one smoke or I can spend about $9 for Ashton Artisans Blend and get more than a weeks or more worth of smokes from a tin. Both I consider top notch.
Top reasons to smoke a cigar instead of a pipe? If I want a quick nicotine hit I will fire up a cigar. I also like the convenience of a cigar out at the lake. If I wish to share the smoking experience with a friend I tend to reach for a couple of cigars instead of sharing one of my pipes.
