I love reading these posts. I started in college with one of my grandfather's pipes. He had passed. He was an all-day piper. I recall when he died being able to choose one, only one, of his pipes. I was 10; I had no room or reason to argue. But now the thought of all his pipes being thrown away really affects me. He was not a collector of any sorts; just a guy who loved to smoke a pipe. I miss him. That aroma. That's why I started smoking a pipe.
