I just tried writing an email to the official address of TobaccoReviews:

That email address has been bullshit for years. That's why I included the pone number for Kretek when I posted who owned it. Call them, ask for Ben, and give his answering machine an earful.
Too bad that such a useful resource is not taken care of properly. It was very helpful when I started smoking and it still helps when buying blends I haven't tried.
I have a perception that those in management of the pipe industry just don't care about attracting a new generation of patrons. I wonder if they understand what a valuable asset these review sites are to new/young pipe smokers. Its sad to see antiquated websites with otherwise valuable members rot away.
So, this is owned by the same guy who drove P&T magazine into the ground... great! Why is it that guys who have how to make something awesome keep on buying shit and f'n it up?

I was thinking this same thing when I was checking a week or so ago. I also hate their new website format, it looks terrible and is far less functional.

P&T bought the site in Feb 2011, then Kretek, and now TMG.

Or a detriment. New smokers may see flavors being described when they have yet figured out how to taste smoke and be discouraged enough to give it up altogether not realizing that taste is entirely subjective.

Kevin, the press release that you linked to says, "Tobacco Media Group (TMG) is the publishing and event subsidiary of Kretek International." So, tobaccoreviews.com is still ultimately owed by Kretek.
