Ah, but you are not the owner. He can run his business in the manner he chooses. When you have a business you can run it as you choose.
The key is, if you do not like how a business conducts commerce, take your money to another vendor. I don't think you are a b.... just that you are a bit overwrought. I've worked in retail and I recognize certain customers are "high maintenance". Such customers may quickly become too much trouble for too little money. "The customer is always right . . . most of the time."
I haven't seen any damage or loss presented on your part. If there was, members have offered good suggestions for recovering such.

This is hilarious oh man p&c really rag timed Charlie'd me this time I'm going to complain! That's it who owns p&c im going to really get them this time! Stop the complaints it's simple if you do not like how they handled your order or charged your account don't give them your business. It's not needed to go on a pipe smokers forum and complain. I personally have had great experiences with pretty much all of the site sponsors here.

I'm curious, does P&C have a solid reputation here? Where do forum members here like to order from? Obviously I'm new and don't know these details :) Most of my orders to date have been through P&C though, so I'm curious.

They've been solid for me. I just received a box today, in fact, and everything was fine.
The tins are usually somewhat loose in the box but ... they're metal. Also, I don't chase hard to get blends that are constantly out of stock or back-ordered so that is a non-issue as well.

P&C has a pretty solid reputation. That doesn't mean, like any place of business, that mistakes aren't made. They are usually pretty good about rectifying any problems or mistakes a customer brings to their attention. It's not a one man show either, so sometimes there are recurrences of mistakes or problems if someone didn't by chance get the memo, so to speak. Basically, they can't be perfect all the time. Personally, I've had no issues with Pipesandcigars. To me, it seems, they do a pretty stand up job of doing their best to bring great products and prices to their customers. I for one, will continue to give them my business.

I love P&C. But I've also had some problems in the past that were quickly addressed.
Ben88, Russ is also one of the most easily approachable guys in the pipe world.
If you work in the retail environment today, customer service is paramount. I do, and nothing chaps my ass worse then trying to spend money with a company that pushes your order aside.
I've got a hunch you'll be hearing from them soon.

I've learnt this the hard way. I used to be one of those "high maintenance" customers until I realised ... hum ... some people from this forum genuinely interested in my personal development ... helped me realise it. Now I try to just go with he flow, try keeping good relationship with vendors, make sure I don't complain too much. Still, one has sometimes to stand up for himself, but it usually works better in private.

I have tried all the major tobacco retailers and currently buy from P&C. Their prices are the best I have seen and the service is no worse than any other store. 4 Noggins is ok too. Try them if you dislike P&C.

While not in the retail business myself, my advertising clients are. Everything they sell is priced and sold at that price while supplies last or until they raise the price. I don't any online retailer to honor a price or offer forever.
