As for personal experience, I've never owned an IM Corona product but I've handled just about every variant.
I bought one of the Kiribi Kabutos when they first came out. Worked well for a couple years, then sent it in for a free refurb. Worked well for another year or so until.:.
Now it doesn't light. It sparks, and there's fuel, but it won't light.
If I open the cap and place it beside an open flame, it catches!

I've completely disassembled it, cleaned it, tried different flints, different fuels.. nothing seems to work.

I've been eyeballing Pipemasters for some time and I may pull the trigger soon.
Honestly, I've never had a problem with a standard Bic. Durable, reliable, fun colors, and cheaper than a cup of coffee.
Ah yes the luxury bic!

I have 2 fancy lighters, a silver plated dunhill, and a cheap ebay lighter. They both work in the same manner adjustable flame, easy fill up, but. The dunhill feels heavy and solid compared to its cheaper counter part. I found the dunhill on ebay for less then $50. It had a stuck wheel and a flint jammed in it, Very easy fix with wd40 and a small bit on my drill. Took 15 minutes to fix now I can sell it for more then I bought it. It's just too cool and works to nice for me to see it go.20230408_132757.jpg

Did you use the same one for years? How do you recharge those?
I stopped using them as I felt sick of throwing plastic (since it does not get recycled).
No I didn't recharge them. I threw them out the window which I had to roll down because it was so long ago nobody cared. 😆 Just being a wise guy...I never paid it much attention. Just tossed them in the trash and grabbed a new one next time I went to the convenience store and saw my buddy Manoj. He could get me whatever I wanted. Manoj brought me back some nice incense from India. Too bad he went back.

I wasnt a wise guy, i thought i missed something.Ive used bics for a decade, but they are just too expensive now.
I mean, with a bottle of fluid lighter for zippo ($6) i get gas for 6 months. A bic, for me, lasts less then a week.
I thought maybe that there is a trick to recharge them...
Its a good reason to see Manoj though :)

Thats my gas for a few years. But i have to buy flint too.
I dont like the fact that they are not rechargeable , as I wont be able to reuse it.
I have a BIC clone( brand is blink) that is rechargeable.Im a fan of those.
But im not trying to transform this in a pro/agains bic lighters thread. BICs are great lighters, and very convenient.

Is it possible to Adapt a dupont 1 with a pipe burner?

Yes, provided it is the updated Line1 with the barrel-style flame adjuster. There was also a cigar-flame nozzle available with a wider single flame. The original Line1s with the knurled lever flame adjuster only had standard flame nozzles.

Yes, BUT… the right angle nozzles can be hard to light. The spark doesn’t always catch. I’ve had that problem with both the 1 and the 2.
Yes, that can happen with the pipe-flame nozzles, since the flow of gas is not as directly in the path of the spark-shower with the pipe nozzle, as compared to the standard nozzle. A Line1 with pipe nozzle is my first choice, but that can be a compromise. If cleaning the build-up doesn't help, then try a full flint next. Also it helps to get a good roll of the thumbwheel. If all of that doesn't help, then I strike it while the nozzle is nearly against my palm to pool the gas up a little, & that usually does it. Most if the time it lights normally, but I have had that issue sometimes.
