I still smoke the second pipe I ever bought new. A straight stem silver Falcon with a sandblasted billiard bowl. Bought off the display card in a stationary store in Ocean Beach, CA in early 1972. I lost or broke my first pipe, a Hardcastle bent billiard, purchased in Wales in 1971.

Seen as I made a pigs ear of my earlier reply I thought I'd better put it right. I have bought two unsmoked estate pipes during the last few years. One a City de Luxe and the other a Gordon both ages unknown. However as a betting man I'd put my money on the Gordon being the oldest.
