What's Good Comedy to You

Has anyone mentioned Ron White? He's the stand out of the Blue Collar crew. Dennis Miller was very good.

The best comedy, to me, looks sort of effortless, as if it just occurred to the comic, or happened to him or her. Most often it doesn't require a lot of sex jokes or embarrassment on the part of the audience.

The Venture Brothers.
The I.T. Crowd.
Blazing Saddles.
Young Frankenstein.
Seinfeld.
Drew Carey in his standup days.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned Benny Hill? Can't believe I forgot Benny, used to love watching his show growing up in 80's England.

I've been watching comics on TV since the 50's.
I've seen comic movies and read comic books.
What you find humorous may depend upon your ability to experience empathy, humility, self deprecation, criticism, and maybe sometimes a touch of sadism.
I've read most every word in this thread, and found mention of almost every comic who ever performed and found one (it came to mind) omission. I'm sure there are several more.

And now Benny Hill. For a short time I was fascinated with his shows. That's when they were live, or at least new—so many years ago. A year ago I ran across some clips, and fascination turned to meh or worse.
