I'm eating my leftover shepards pie for lunch right now! Home grown rosemary, minced lamb, mmmmm potatoes on top
Lamb is widely available this end of the world and it is an absolute favourite.
Oven braised lambs neck, lamb shoulder and - chops .
A good lambs neck stock/broth for lentil soup etc. etc. We love it.
My friend is so very generous, cooking is her pastime :)

Tomorrow 25th Jan in Scotland in Burns Night, where we celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns. Had my traditional dinner a night early. Haggis, neeps (turnip), and tatties (mashed potato). All covered in whisky sauce. Didnt get a picture at the time, so this one isn't mine.

Is it already? Time for an Address to a Haggis. Since I don't go to Burns dinner any longer, don't have to see old ladies complaining about haggis tasting like some cat food.

Hand pulled teriyaki chicken stacked on cheesy garlic toast that was slathered with mayonnaise, topped with rough julienned carrots and cucumbers, drizzled with Sriracha and sprinked with fresh avocado.

It tasted similar to a Bahn MI, but without the veggies being pickled. The leftovers are being turned into an Asian noodle salad.
