I was listening to Bird and Diz on vinyl, and remembered this terrific video of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, with pianist Dick Hyman, drummer Charlie Smith, and bassist Sandy Block, playing "Hot House" live on television, February 24, 1952.

I was listening to At Fillmore East in honor of Duane's birthday, and followed with Taj Mahal's first album, to hear "Statesboro Blues," the song that inspired Duane to play slide guitar.

^wyfbane, my copy of Bird and Diz is the Verve reissue of the original Clef 10"recording. Clef was one of Norman Granz' first labels, before he founded Verve.
