I had the Modern Jazz Quartet's Lonely Woman LP, from 1962, on the turntable tonight (one of my earliest jazz LP purchases).

Here's the title track in a live performance, on the Jazz Casual TV show, the year of the album's release.

I've been listening to this guy "georged" introduced on a separate thread on the forum.

Scott Mulvahill is quite amazing. He plays upright bass, writes thoughtful songs, and has a wonderful voice.

Check out this live performance of "Himalayas" from his album of the same name.

I have to say there's a lot of good music being listened to here. I've been buying vinyl for the last year or so and picked up some Doobie Brothers and Jethro Tull over the weekend so I've been listening to those.

I lost my brothers, I lost my friends

Only one way this thing ends

Cheap and dirty in a bad motel

Wondering what it was you used to do so well
I had words, chords and strings

Now I don't have any of these things

Come and get me Jesus, I don't know

Come and get me 'cause I can't go
