Old people are pushy

They'll drive how they want to drive

And go as slow as they want to

They don't care who stays alive
Pretty soon it's gonna be all over

Good enough reason not to let you pass

They can seem like sweet little old people

But they are not about to kiss your ass

An incredibly rich and varied selection from Count Basie to the Wrecking Crew.
R.I.P. Mr. Blaine.

This one's so odd, I thought I'd better post it, from youTube, two policemen in Latvia dancing for residents at a home for the elderly, to a Latvian folk song. The audience seemed passive, but the guys were staying in shape. No donut jokes. They looked pretty fit.

I'm over the hill, under the bridge

Still a few peaks and valleys I ain't seen
Time won't tell, heaven or hell

Time just pisses his secrets down the street

All the way to the river

Down on the bottom where the catfish moan

All the way to the river

Dirty Nashville that's her home

R.I.P. Hal Blaine, who passed on Monday, at age 90. One of the greatest of session drummers. If you are unfamiliar with his work, as some of the younger guys on this thread might be, read about him; he was the drummer on hundreds of top hit songs, as part of the famous studio musician group, "The Wrecking Crew."

Here's "Be My Baby" by The Ronettes, with Hal's iconic drum work.

Currently on a bluegrass kick. So listened to the New Grass Revival station on Pandora. Don't do traditional bluegrass, though. It has to be more contemporary with some good upbeat kick to it.
