Saw them on tour in 88' and 90', absolutely killer shows, I still have one of the Angus dollars that they dropped from the ceiling on the 90' tour during Money Talks! :nana:

Zappa, Beefheart, Gary Clark... Great stuff. I dig your taste in music. Checkout Zappa Buffalo. One of my favorite Zappa performances. "Keep it greasy" live in Buffalo is played at an insane unhuman tempo. I bet smoke was pouring off the bass players strings.

Thanks Dave, I'll check that one out, I've seen the cover, but I don't own that one yet. He released 60 albums while he was alive and there have been another 'official' 40 since his death, not counting the dozens of bootlegs.

Zappa Buffalo is on YouTube. I knew about the 60 albums and had a few dozen of them at one point, but I didn't know they had released so much after his death. 40 more? That's crazy. I've watched quite a few interviews with Zappa. He was a smart interesting man. Although I disagreed with many of his opinions, he is very entertaining during interviews.
Today I'm listening to The Bambi Molesters and Satan's Pilgrims. Great stuff. A mix of rockabilly and surf. The names are crazy but it's cool mellow jams. All instrumental.

I was listening to The Flock on LP. This is a favorite album. I went to Wright Junior College, in Chicago, with Fred Glickstein (lead guitar and vocals) and Rick Canoff (sax). My club hired the band a few times to do concerts.

The opening track on their debut album, featuring Jerry Goodman on violin, is amazing. Here's a live performance of "Introduction/Clown."

(I may have posted this quite a while back, but it's worth a repeat.)

Since Pagan is otherwise occupied, I'll post this in his stead... RHINO 2002 re-issue and remaster of Violent Femmes' 1982 classic. :)
