Good find there Tango. I have all of his output on both vinyl and CD. Belt and braces :puffy:
That is one of the few he did using Hawkwind as his 'backing band' and is probably my favourite Calvert album.

Mostly John Coltrane, the jazz saxophonist, today shuffled by the Amazon robot Alexis. A fellow Navy vet who had such a following for his music that his friends founded a church on his behalf after his passing. He was born in Highpoint, N.C.

Here's something for Evans fans: In 1958 there was a TV series, for one season, on NBC called "The Subject is Jazz." You can find bits and pieces on YouTube--they're fascinating. The final program featured a couple of George Russell's compositions. This is a young Bill Evans, with a group that includes Art Farmer, doing "Concerto for Billy the Kid"
