My buddy used to say....on a Harley it's not how fast you get this it's about how cool you look when you arrive.

Greetings,
My 24th motorcycle, a 2009 BMW R1200GS Adventure.

A superb and amazing machine! Goes anywhere and does anything I ask of it, from cross-country touring to light offroad duty.

Unless this come to fruition. Scooters are better for urban environments.

Love that Diavel. If you want to corner, Ducati is where it's at. They really don't fuck around when it comes to bikes. HDs are cool in their own way, but like portascat says, you have to put a lot into them, both time and money-wise to drag that 1970s technology into the modern world. My Triumph scrapes in the corners and sure couldn't outrun my old Duc, but even all modded up it cost me half the price of a stock Harley and I'm not making a bike payment. My next bike will probably be another Duc. I want a 1098 so I can outfit it for the track and go fast legally. I'm keeping the Turnip for cruising though.

Cacooper & martiniman: nice GS's
@Al "a bonnie chopper that is loud, oily and dangerous" -the sound must be ridiculous with those short pipes. That thing is a truckload of cool!
