Wanted to know, from all members in Pipe Magazine. Us new member and how to say newbie in Tobacco pipe cuture. What is you're favorite pipe tobacco blend on summer time?
Becouse in near future wanted to try those new uncharted blends.
Right now, I find my self and what I can get in my country, "Peterson - Sherlock Holmes " blend hit the spot on hot summer time. Us light with citrus flavoring tasty tobacco.

P. S. Sorry for my grammer, try my best.

I tend to smoke more VA and Burley in the summer months, heavy lat blends just aren’t as satisfying in the heat (unless I’m smoking indoors). As stated above, something like Orlik GS is a great refreshing summer blend.

Others:
Condor, Dunbar, Tilbury, Escudo, HU Sissinghurst, Condor, HU Anniversary Blend, HU Directors Cut, Condor, Salty Dogs, Warrior Plug, Condor, Victorian Match, Erinmore Flake, Condor, St. Bruno, GH Dark Flake scented, GH Kendal Flake, Condor... pretty much anything that doesn’t have a heavy Latakia content, though I do make exceptions but I tend to smoke the heavy lat blends in the cold weather.

With air conditioning, blends are less seasonal, but if I'm coming inside and am warmed up, or if I am smoking outdoors, a Virginia or Va/Per might taste better, or a lighter burley. One of the regulars on my rotation right now, in August, is a good but sturdy Virginia based Dunhill Durbar, discontinued but excellent while it lasts.

I smoke all pipe blends throughout the year. I generally do not smoke cigars inside the house (with limited exceptions). So my cigar smoking is a little higher in summer and will possibly peak in spring before going down in winter. When is smoke a cigar that’s one less pipe I smoke, so pipe smoking is a little less (In relative terms)

No seasonality here, but I live in a very mild climate. Summer averages about 70-75º. Many folks here live where it gets hot and humid in the Summer.

Where do you live?

You can put your location in your Profile—(please!—because people will forget!) and which will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, etc., etc..

Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state.
