I'm a seasonal blend piper so my current summer fave is the aptly named: Sun Bear.
I have several favorites, all varied blends. The one I have been smoking more often is MB Seven Seas Gold Blend, a pleasant all day smoke for me lately, will probably change at some point?
I agree with everyone who listed Virginia and Va/Per blends. Bright Virginias have a bit of a grassy citrusy thing going on that just fits summertime.
I also agree with everyone who recommends trying Orlik Golden Sliced. I personally don’t care for it all that much, as I think the bergamot topping is a little overwhelming, kind of like smoking an orange peel. I can see how it would be a summer favorite though and I do smoke it occasionally. It could be the perfect summer blend if it’s to your taste.
Carter Hall also rings a bell for me in the summer, but that’s probably just the sensory association from spending some good summer nights with friends on the back porch drinking beer, listening to music, and smoking bowl after bowl of carter hall

i opened up some McClelland 2105 that's about four years old a couple months ago. More often than not, that's the blend I grab most often
I'm not a purist but there is something special about a burley in the summer. If its a flake, so much the better. And if I happen to have a cob around, I will rarely have anything other than a fine smoke.
