"use softy bits".
At first I thought they could be uncomfortable and useless (I don't really care about some teeth marks).
Then a seller sent me some as a "surprise" when I bought a couple of pipes and I gave them a try.
I'm finally able to clench some pretty heavy pipes without hurting my teeth now and without having to close my mouth in a weird way to keep them from falling...
I prefer smaller and lighter pipes but I have some heavier ones that now I can enjoy with my hands free.
