What do you consider to be Samuel Gawith’s most under-rated tobacco? I have my favourites but they are very much the ones that everyone loves. Which one should I try next?
If you haven’t already tried it, I would recommend 1792 Flake. It ticks a lot of boxes for me?What do you consider to be Samuel Gawith’s most under-rated tobacco? I have my favourites but they are very much the ones that everyone loves. Which one should I try next?
Squadron Leader, 1792, St James Flake, Chocolate Flake, FVF, Skiff Mixture, Best Brown Flake. The only one I didn’t get on with was 1792, really. The ones staying on smokingpipes.com longer than 24 hours! No really, I don't know.
Other than that it's impossible to answer your question without knowing what you've tried.

Why limit yourself to SG?
Which of these did you like?
@Ettrick puffer I enjoyed it in my clay pipes; as I've already mentioned I could imagine Redcoats smoking Gawith flakes...If you haven’t already tried it, I would recommend 1792 Flake. It ticks a lot of boxes for me?
Happy smokes

@Barredbenny I've tried most of these except the St. James, Chocolate Flake and Best Brown.Squadron Leader, 1792, St James Flake, Chocolate Flake, FVF, Skiff Mixture, Best Brown Flake. The only one I didn’t get on with was 1792, really.
Excellent point on Balkan. Twenty years ago I was ordering many tins of it.1792 is among my top 5 smokes - but of course nobody needs to like anything anyone else does! The rest are considered top of the range. I also like Balkan Flake and Brown No.4
Love Bracken. Wish they still made it.Probably Bracken Flake.
