I wonder what the profits they have for each blend? Could be some interesting figures to see. I had their "top shelf" from the private stock line and I would never recommend it. More like "bottom of the barrel"

yep I just checked and Sutliff no longer list it BUT Pipes and Cigars still list it and says out of stock!

AND I TOO AM NOT a fan of their aro's but this was quite good.

Pity they have no idea of what they offered ( does anyone but me see problems ahead?)

reminds me of asking a friends opinion on something one time and he replied "I feel strongly both ways"

I just checked the company website and English Oriental is still listed under Bulk offerings. It appears to be pretty good, too, from the description.
By company website I mean the one listed here just to the right of these posts as "Sutliff/Mac Baren".

The gentlemans name from Sutliff is Joseph Allen. If he is an example of Sutliff's management....

we are fortunate to have other Blenders to depend on and they probably are able to recognize their old blends name.

I will now stop beating the dead Nag!

I think I can shed a little knowledge here. Sutliff has discontinued a number of their blends, but some of them we're still getting until they run out of stock of them. So basically ericusrex is right, buy them if you see them. We've had more than a few people upset of late because they couldn't get ahold of those Sutliff blends.
I've never smoked any of them myself, so can't say whether they are good or not, but I know almost all the ones that are staying are heavy Aromatics.

I hope Pumpkin Spice is one of those aros that's staying. Always buy some this time of year. Just loaded up on 8oz of it a month ago from SmokingPipes and it's not listed there any more. I did see it at P&C though.

There's a little confusion here. We were given a list of products that they would continue to make, but apparently, it wasn't comprehensive. Some of the blends we thought were discontinued are still available, and we'll receive an updated list shortly. In addition, we've been told that if we wanted any of the discontinued blends in sufficient quantity, they would make it for us, so we'll be reevaluating their lineup shortly.

I have at least one of every Sutliff offering cellared but haven't tried most of them. I can say that Old San Francisco and Balkan Luxury Blend are two of my favorites but the Balkan is getting hard to find in stock.
