I haven't had a puff in four days. Day two, I felt a bit tired, but not too bad. Day three, less tired. Day four, I feel energetic, though I'm still putting the pipe in my mouth a bit for the sake of habit. I really enjoy smoking my pipes. Every once in a while, maybe every six months or so, I put the pipes down and stop smoking completely.

Now in the past, I felt some pretty strong fatigue, maybe some sniffles and such, and that lasted for a few days, but went away. I'm a little surprised that after not smoking this time I've barely felt any after effects this time coming off the nicotine, because I've been smoking a lot lately, going through four to five bowls a day.

What are your experiences?

No changes that I would relate with pipe smoking. Any changes in energy whether it's fatigue or feeling energetic I can easily attribute to the amount of sleep I get, and physical activity. I have a pipe when I have the opportunity, so if it's a busy day without a chance for some downtime, I won't light up. If I happen to feel tired that day, it's more likely because I was just very busy with no downtime, not because I didn't have a pipe that day.

most i will put it down is about half a day, Only when i smoked to much/quick Virginia and get the bite. After that its done for the day. Or I will put something I don't care about into the bowl and smoke it on a tongue bit day.
When I was sick, i thought about putting the pipe down for a day or 5..... but then I decided what the hell and puffed away. Didnt want my body to go through too much of a shock of chemical changes.

I generally smoke one or two bowls a day, always outside with a book. However, my low temperature for sitting outside is about 50 degrees F. That knocks out several months in the winter, but while I miss it, I feel no physical problems.
