I know that with wine typically lighter meats go with light (white) wine does it work the same with tobaccos? Like a super dark and deep tobacco go with a bourbon and a sweeter lighter tobacco go well with lighter drinks such as white wine or a cider maybe? Or maybe I’m in the wrong direction maybe non alcoholic drink? What are your guyes thoughts?

I’m a Scotch guy Haven’t found one that didn’t pair well with my preferred VaPer’s But, and this is a little off the beaten path, my most favorite thing I’ve found is a Peanut Butter Milk Stout from one of our local breweries. (Tailgate)

It's not like pairing for meals.

Just drink what you like drinking, with whatever you like smoking. You will probably develop favourite combos.

Everything seems to go with my pipe. You can feel free to complicate the experience as much as you desire to achieve a comfortable smoke. That's the beauty of it whether pipe, cigar or cigarette. Smoking is a personal thing. Just enjoy however you wish. I do the same with wine, whatever I desire at the time, usually a cab no matter the entree. I am not tied to the "rules" of others. I'm simply looking to please myself.

Depends on the tobacco to some extent but most of the time I’m drinking nothing. When I do - coffee, iced tea, Coke (rare but good with some), a Corona - don’t make mind a whiskey/whisky but never seems to mate well with a pipe for me.

Coffee and burley in the morning.
Cognac and English blends.
Geography blessed us with Dark Fired and Bourbon.
Rum and Virginia.
Other than coffee and burley, ice water is probably my most frequent pairing. Seems to cool the mouth and not get in the way.
