I’m a Scotch guy Haven’t found one that didn’t pair well with my preferred VaPer’s But, and this is a little off the beaten path, my most favorite thing I’ve found is a Peanut Butter Milk Stout from one of our local breweries. (Tailgate)
I love their pbms bushwhacker. And the taco pizza is the main reason we go to tailgate.

Despite appreciating food/drink pairings, I'm a bit resistant to that idea with tobacco. Smoking is a different kind of thing than ingesting.

Still, I won't deny that when I've happened to have coffee at the same time as a pipe, I can't help but notice that they play nicely together.

It never matters to me, but I have enjoyed a straight bourbon or a Manhattan, particularly with dryer burleys. I also enjoy a Guinness draft goes great with any tobacco.

Right now it’s ice water with a splash of limeade. 🤷‍♂️

For me and my palate it goes like this:

- Water - any tobacco
- Coffee - any tobacco (my go to choice for pipe smoking)
- Pop (primarily Dr. Pepper, Coke) - English/Balkan blends, Burley blends, and certain Virginia blends
- Beer (primarily lager's and IPA's) - English/Balkan blends, If I'm drinking Guiness, then any tobacco blend
- Whiskey - English/Balkan blends, Burley blends
- Wine (primarily Red) - English/Balkan blends

Over time you'll learn what pairs well for you.

I asked this same question about a year ago as I believe there IS a good match between tobacco and beverage.
I discovered many years ago that Sambuca with my favorite cigar (Hoyo) is a perfect combo…for me.
Obviously this topic is very subjective but currently I drink a Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay with my pipe; but that’s because that’s what I have in the house.
These wines with an Aromatic is very good but right now I’m smoking a C&D Smooth English and the Chardonnay is just air.
But I am still searching for that complimentary beverage.
To each his own.
