What Do You Dry Your Tobacco Out In/On?

I put in a jar with a good amount of air. Dries to precisely where I like it and the best part is it stays at that level for at least a year and a half. Or if it's a tin I just pop it open a week before I plan on smoking it and let it dry out in the tin. Then smoke it over the next week.
Expensive, but worth it if you buy a lot of SG FVF:
Usually in the tin or jar, and dry the whole thing at once. Leave top open for x hours, cover for y hours, and measure the RH the next day. Repeat as necessary.
Values for x and y from a few hours to days, but usual is open all afternoon, close overnight, measure RH, and another go or two at it, and Bob's your uncle.

If I let the tobacco dry out at all I just open the tin it came in let it breathe for about an hour. Sometimes I just go ahead and load the pipe and let it sit for a while.
In due time that is what happens to me also, a 50 gram tin can be opened for 3 months or longer if I take a hiatus of pipe smoking and smoke cigars more.
This is the first time I see someone talking about measuring RH of pipe tobacco. My question is, what is the ideal RH for pipe tobacco? Sure most may say "bone dry" "crispy" "it should crackle", but i'm a numbers guy and don't do "crispy". And how do you measure that? I would think a bluetooth RH meter to being measure it in a closed tin, but thats assumption, just as worse as deeming it ok being "crispy" to me.

I use a foldable leather mat with my initials pressed in the center.This was gifted to me from a friend a few years back. He has a matching one.
I turned a few shallow bowls/plates just for this purpose. I use paper plates from time to time too, depending on how much tobacco I’m drying out at once.
I use a small $5.00 hygrometer available on Amazon. Placing it in a jar or bag is the only way I can measure a freshly opened tin, as there's not enough room to seal the device inside the tin.
Ideal RH? I guess it varies from about 75% for shag cuts, to 55-60% for flake, ropes or plugs.
I was waiting for someone here to make a joke about the two of you having the same initials, then thought, "Well, maybe they do."
I just pack a bowl or two and let the pipes sit for a day or three.

My place is super dry so just leaving it on a plate or in the air is more then enough to get any wetness level tobacco just right
What wash cycle did you use?
While I did a number of torture experiments on pipes, I didn't use the dryer. Too much clanking!
