First time I've tried this one. I'm really enjoying it. Ecuador wrapper, Sumatra binder, Nicaragua and San Andres fillers.
Oliva Master Blends 3 in churchill. One of my favorites, if you like the melanio and serie V, you'll like this one.

Does the melanio change at all at the bigger vitolas? I've only ever had robusto size.
They're just incredible Ecuadorean Sumatra wrappers. I love the way they look. The only sizes I haven't had are the double toro and torpedo. I don't think I've noticed much difference between the sizes in terms of flavor.All of my melanios are splotchy sticks

They're beautiful wrappers to be sure. It seems Oliva is pretty consistent across vitolas, except for maybe lanceros.
Got a box in the mail today and just had to smoke one before putting the rest away. PDR A Flores Serie Privada CAPA Habano SP58. An excellent stick yet needs some humidor time.
I don't have a ton of experience with this stick....but had a few with 2 or so years of age on them and gave it a whirl. Actually really nice and a somewhat unique spin on Nicaraguan flavors. For sure you know its Nicaraguan.....but really nice baking spice way on top of the red pepper and earth.
Nothing fancy on construction/band...didnt know what to expect and dug it. To steal a pipe term this is a stick that really profits by sipping. You push the puff at all and it blands out...but sip and its baking spice/aged tobacco cream on familar Nicaraguan flavors. Don't know if theres a big audience for slow-smoke, subtle Nicaraguan....but its a nice back of humidor surprise for a Sunday.
Got up real early, it was a 2 for, first was a Tatuaje Tattoo Avinado, Damn good even though the spelling isn’t, then rarely I go back to back, but it was a Partagas Black Label Pyrimide, surveying the mess in the yard, could be a lot worse, no damage just mess. Both smokes were great.
Brick House toro. A bit of a sour note I don't remember noticing when I had them in the past. This specimen is decent, and a solid value, but nothing all that special.
Plasencia Reserva Original (organic) Nestico while mowing hay. Very paltry 2nd cut -- should've fertilized it.
Southern Draw Jacob's Ladder. Very chewy and dense smoke. Quite enjoyable. If I still drank, I bet it would be real good with most liquors.
After a month in the humidor, I'm smoking this La Aurora Preferidos Diamond Broadleaf. Tell you what, if you haven't smoked one of these you owe it to yourself to get one. Simply Stellar.
