How is that La Hacienda? I've been curious about it. Did you smoke the Gran Robusto or one of the Superiores? Medium-bodied?
Superiores. Pretty good stick. Medium-boded with a nice little punch. Try also the Gran Reaserva 1988 if you like
something with a little more oomph.

Parti Habanero -- many of these have had weird burn issues -- tunneling, canoeing, etc. -- but today's was close to perfect.

Most of those issues are normally due to storage of the cigars. Make sure that they are properly stored in a humidor at the correct RH. Also, if you purchase your sticks online/mail order, let them rest in your humidor for at least a week to allow them to acclimate and "re-normalize".

Thanks Python. Yup, doing all those things. Think this is just a not-great box for whatever reason. Have had much better luck, in identical conditions, with other CC vitolas and marques.

Then try rotating them in the humidor every few days. Sometimes the part that is touching the stick under it gets a little over humidifier causing a canoe effect. The over humidifier part doesn't burn as well.

You could also try dry boxing a stick for a day or two before smoking it to see if that alleviates the problem.

Good ideas -- thanks again
