Enjoying a 4 year old Cohiba Siglo 6 this evening. Love the light earthiness of this cigar. Washing it down with some Eagle Rare.

Smoked 2 new to me cigars today while playing golf. JC Newman Julius Caeser which is Nicaraguan. First 1/3 was mild, harsh and green. Finally got okay around 1/2 way point. May get better with age but I doubt it'll ever be close to great.

Monte Cristo Nicaraguan was actually decent. Had some strength and body. I wouldn't trade a Padron 2000 or 3000 for either.

Try the JC Corona or shark. They're not always consistent, but great cigars that typically only reveal their full flavor when retrohaled.

Casa Fernandez Miami Reserva with some English Breakfast Tea. Been looking for something a bit less caffeinated than coffee, and got curious about the tea-tobacco combination extolled by some.

Mild and harsh at the same time is a miserable combination. I haven't actually tried the JCs before, but it had been on my list. I still might try it just for my own curiosity, but that's a bummer.

Egars had some fantastic deals over the holidays, 35 total for around $220. Cabiguan, Tats, Olivia V and Padron 2000, 3000 and 4000. Been burning through quite a few cigars playing golf.
