Tatuaje monster, Jason.

To celebrate the end of Spring Break (busiest the farm is until October - I was running my tractor ride nonstop for a while there!), I bought the local tobacconist's Monster Smash box. Smoking through them in order, taking minor notes.
I think my favorites so far have been Frank and Wolf.

For the way home, a Non Plus:

And then a little aperitif with some Jade Absinthe:

Nice Palio cutter, not to mention great taste in stix.
I had a plain black one back in the day, but an acquaintance from the local cigar lounge offered to sharpen it for me right before Covid shut downs hit and many of the folks that hung out there for over a decade stopped coming afterward. Along with them, my Palio never returned. No biggie - i have a cigar box full of cutters accumulated over the years. But they are nice cutters. It was my daily at that time. Cool design on yours! 👍

Thank you and thank you. I had one fall apart and that was all the local shop had for replacement - it was right before Palio got bought by Quality Importers. I've never sharpened it or my black Palio - going on well over 15 years. I've heard QI cut quality shortly after purchase, but don't have any experience with them.

Another LFD Carajo for me today.
Evening rains prevented a backyard after dinner smoke but the weekend is looking good!

I started saving clipped ends again, and tonight I mixed them into Winchester at about a 4/1 ratio.

They are also quite good straight, in a cob. There's a real interesting clarity that comes through

Yesterday I had a five-year-old Sinistra Maduro Petite Belicoso. WOW! I was not expecting the power this cigar would put out. The first inch or so, was almost overwhelming, strong Nic w/deep rich flavors of musk and woodiness. The second third mellowed down a bit, but the flavors were still very rich & deep! What a great little cigar. Took a selfie!

Padron 1926 Serie Natural

While returning to USA I was transiting through Abu Dhabi. I went to the duty free to buy some Cuban Cigars. They only had Romeo Y Julieta at $1500 per box. I still decided to buy one although I had the daunting task of explaining it to my wife later. But then they refused to sell it to me; seems like people traveling to USA can only buy from designated duty free shops which are beyond US security and border control. They also advised me that I am out of luck as that duty free shop does not have Cuban cigars. In hindsight I saved $1500 and whenever I want to splurge I will smoke the Padrons 😀IMG_9388.jpeg
