The only La Riquezas i have left in the humi are from probably 12+ yrs ago.
I met Pete Johnson on a couple of occasions when he was just getting traction in the market. He's a cool guy and has blended some great stuff over the years. Love the Tat Cabinet Reservas especially. I was able to procure a box of these when they were first released, back in the day, directly from him at one such meeting in Seattle. Still have a few from that box stashed away, too, i do believe.
In that spirit, i'm heading out into the sun with a Tat black lancie...

Those things age very well, too. I'm waiting for a little space in the humidor to put away a 50 cab of the Tat Black perlas.
I would love to hear how the La Riqueza are aged. A lot of Nicaraguan tobacco doesn't appear to age well, but Tatuaje has some notable exceptions.

Has gotten a chance to try out the new Placencia Cigar?! I didn’t love the first third, but as I got to the second third, it really settled in and I started to enjoy it. The final third was also enjoyable for me… it’s one I’ll certainly revisit, but I didn’t like it as much as the Campo.

Been slowly making my way through the LFD portfolio. I like this size. Saw a video of Litto where he said the 200 was his everyday morning smoke, but in the Cameroon version. This one is the "Oscuro Ligero Natural" which seems like an oxymoron but what do I know and has an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper

How was it? I'm a huge fan of the Nicaraguan leaf and RyJ is a decent company. Always enjoyed the Reserva Real, even though mild - lots of flavor, even for an experienced smoker IMO. I smoke the CAO Nicaragua on a regular basis - good morning smoke when i have a long drive. Curious about this one.
That’s the second one I’ve tried. I liked the first one better….they’re decent. Good construction. Not gonna knock your socks off but enjoyable. First third is rather boring.
