I've unfortunately haven't had an an Andalusian bull before but I've definitely had this happen on other cigars before. Every time it's with oversized labels as the glue doesn't get warm enough to let go of the wrapper. It's annoying and the equivalent of fumbling right before the end zone. Imo, companies need to chill out with some of these label sizes, my neighbor across the street doesn't need to be able to identify what I'm smokingI’m gonna take a minute to complain. This has been a wonderful smoke. No criticism there. What I don’t understand is the labeling some of these companies are using. Why risk ruining a cigar over a damn label. Makes no sense to me. Alright. Done bitching. Amazon Basin has this problem solved.View attachment 366114View attachment 366115
Anyone else have problems with these 3 inch labels, or am I on an island??
That’s exactly my point. You have to smoke an inch of label to get it warm enough to release. Craziness! Yea, I need to get a bottle of that and give it a try. That sucks for sure
On the one hand, I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect conscientious use of glue when applying the band. I.e. glue the band to itself, not to the cigar! These things are $10, $15, $20 apiece
On the other hand, I get it. People are rushed, new/learning, not trained, and maybe not super invested in getting things perfect
Anyway, I really like and use PerfecRepair glue

This stuff is neat as it contains cellulose fibers. This can actually fill a pretty significant crack, in addition of course to just gluing stuff back in place
That Aladino cracked pretty bad when I cut it (with a brand new Craftsmans Bench cutter). 2 thin applications and it smoked without issue.
Incidentally, when I removed the band it nicked the wrapper (at top of cracked area). But, the whole thing held, down to the nub

Great recommendation from @BenMN! This stuff works very well and that little bottle will fix dozens of cracks. In my experience, it only took about a minute or 2.Yea, I need to get a bottle of that and give it a try.
How long does it take for that glue to set?

One of my favorites!Had a La Gloria Cubana Serie R Maduro at a cigar bar on Friday. I think it's a very good cigar for the money.
