Welcome!

Nice to see some love for Crux (a MN company). Are you sampling through their lineup, or are these regulars and favorites?

I like the way you've captured the wrapper detail, nice pics
Thanks! I’ve been a fan of the Crux brand for a while. It’s actually my favorite brand out there currently!

Currently my favorite is the “Epicure Habano”, I prefer that one the most and what I smoke most often. That said, i did want to try all the cigars that they have. The “standard Epicure” is really nice and a bit toned down from the Habano. It’s probably best for cigar smokers who want the most mild wrapper. “Bull and Bear” really packs a punch! Although most people learn toward this one, I personally still go to the Habano. It’s a but stronger than the Habano with some richer flavor but for me it’s just a bit over done. The “Guild” is fantastic! I think I like it second most… it’s different than the others mentioned above with a bit more nuttiness. It’s more mild than the Habano as well. I think that this stick is best served as an early morning smoke (same as the standard Epicure)… with that said, the Habano is so versatile you can have it any time of day and it never disappoints. The last one is the “Epicure Maduro”…. I’m typically a fan of maduro’s however based on the others available from Crux this one has been my least favorite of all of the cigars they offer. Not quite sure what it is about them, but they just don’t live up to the others. Maybe it’s because they other offerings are so good and I’ve gotten used to them that this one just doesn’t live up? I’m honestly not sure. As with anything this is all subjective and personal as one of my friends prefers the maduro most and the owner of the pipe shop I go to really likes the bull and bear.

I have the Limitada and the Du Connoisseur in my humidor however I have not gotten around to trying them yet as I tend to keep going back to Epicure Habano and Guild.

Anyway, Crux has been a refreshing brand for me with multiple offerings that I love. Since they use Placencia tobacco I decided to go go back to the Placencia brand to see what I personally preferred, it was honestly Crux by a long shot. That’s pretty high praise as Placencia is putting out some great cigars! Hope the detail is useful! Let me know what your thoughts are once you try some of them!

Definitely useful, thanks! I need to try Crux, and you've given me an idea of where to start
