What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

Thinking of Aruba on this 34 degree evening. Papimiento Sherry Cask Rum and a Kristoff blend for Lindan Cigars of Aruba. Happy Thanksgiving Ladies all.

Alec Bradley American Blend about 5.5 x 60. Kind of a boring smoke really but a friend gave me several a while back so I grabbed one this evening.
Well, I was at Walgreens yesterday and saw packs of Cigars behind the counter, which is a thing I never saw before (though to be fair, I didn't exactly go to a wide range of them back in Irving). I decided to risk it and got a pack of 4 "Blender's Gold Maduro" and tried one today.
It was surprisingly not bad. Not really maduro, and certainly not the best thing I've ever had, but I was bracing myself for something much worse than what it was.

Serie O was the first cigar I really enjoyed, and is still one of my favorites.
Interesting to see that you still have green grass! We've been snow covered since the weekend, and probably won't see bare ground again for a while.

This time trying for the first time a Fuente Curly Head Deluxe Natural.
I will say, starting out, the My Father Tabacos Baez Robusto, in looks, construction and tastes is far superior, it had more complexity and depth.
Maybe as this progresses it will improve a little. We all get this is a budget stick, but I would expect in all aspects, being a Fuente, it would of been overall more superior to the likes of a similar priced stick.
I have smoked quite a few Fuentes in my day, this now being the lowest price, but I was expecting a little more coming from Fuente.

Last Call was the best one, but I’d never buy any of these again, why, because with so many sticks out there, I’m into always trying something new.

I was too busy to have my Thanksgiving cigar on Thanksgiving, so it had to wait until Friday: a Por Larranaga
I'd never smoked a Cuban cigar before, but acquired this one in a trade with @pantsBoots . It was what I'd consider a fairly mild to medium cigar. I don't really get flavor notes from lighter cigars, so this one mostly only tasted like tobacco to me, and that was perfect: I wanted to see whether this Cuban cigar was significantly different from the non-Cubans I've had up to now.
For the most part, it was a regular cigar. They say that there's something different about Cuban tobacco, and I felt a whiff of a difference in aroma and flavor, but nothing earth shattering. I tried a little Basil Hayden Dark Rye, which didn’t enhance the flavor, but only dulled it. This was an enjoyable cigar, without a doubt. The flavor didn't change much, until the last third, when the flavor intensified, and then started changing frequently during the last 1.5 inches. I smoked it down to the last 3/4", when the wrapper split. Total smoking time was about 75 minutes, which was longer than I expected.
I enjoyed the cigar, and the experience of smoking a Cuban cigar. Thanks to @pantsBoots for the opportunity to try one!
