For the holiday, the most expensive cigar I’ve ever smoked: a Padron 1926.

One year ago I smoked my first cigar (first tobacco at all). I bought this in November to celebrate my new job, but I was too busy to smoke it. Then came the cold weather, the flu, busy holidays, and all kinds of other busy times. I figured it was about time to light it, to celebrate a year of enjoying tobacco. It’s as good a reason as any.

This is my first 1926, and it’s certainly different from the Padron x000s and the 1964s. I like the richer aroma and flavor, but not really the pepperiness (which has dissipated after the first inch). The richer cocoa flavor is very nice.

It’s one of my kid’s birthdays today, so I figured this was as good as it gets to celebrate and have a cigar! :)

Padron 2000…

I’ve smoked a couple of the nicer ones in the 90s. I could have sworn I also had a few 2000s, and that they also had something of that distinctive Padron taste, but this doesn’t. Maybe I’ve forgetting 2000s don’t… hmm 🤔

It’s still a nice smoke… :)

Be well everyone! 🤙 ❤️

P.S. I even lit it the slow Davidoff method, to get that special first virgin puff, and to lite it nicely/carefully… LOL 😆

How'd you like it?

Any age?
The previous 4 Claros that I had I smoked years ago. The cigar was a masterpiece up until the final third. Then it turned into a full on assault, bitter, pepper bomb mess that I couldn't finish. This one was about 7 years old and it was great to the nub. Keep in mind my tastes have changed but this time the final third was a good transition to deeper flavors of what was happening prior. I will be buying a couple more to compare.
