Earlier today I smoked a Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas
Fuente never goes on sale, and somehow I am so attuned to sale, I rarely buy outside a sale. That means I have not smoked Fuente for a long time.Fuente Petite Corona

Just an excellent little smoke. Nutty, sweet Dominican goodness. Little over 5 months in the humi. Will be buying another box soon so I have plenty for next summer

Yesterday I got a $50 off $200 coupon from Cigar Page so I purchased a box of Fuente Hemingway. Can’t wait to smoke it!
I selected Signature which is I think 6 x 47Nice!
Which size Hemingway did you select?
I think Cigarpage is a good one for Fuentes. Petite Coronas are about $5 apiece, boxes going for $30 less than msrp
Also, for me, Fuente (and Padron) are sure bets that I'm happy to buy when I visit shops for a pipe club or whatever
On the Budget Journey once again…
Having for the first time, a Flor de Oliva Sun Grown Robusto.
Oliva is suppose to make these, that is what drew me to it.
But, the wrapper is really sweet, and I’ve never smoked a cigar that had these earthy, herbal flavors before, quite peculiar.
It was only $4.20, so not costly…
I’d seriously love for someone else to try this, and tell me what you think…
I’m going to call the place I bought it from Monday, to inquire if anyone there has smoked these before, to find out, what I am experiencing is how they are, and what others have thought about these too.
Be well everyone!

I’ve had one of these in the humidor since last October, so I gave it a try today, to see whether I got the same as @PipeIT

It had a nice open draw, and lit easily. According to the description on Cigar Place (where I bought it), it has a sweetened tip. It started off very peppery, then settled down after a bit, but kept some pepperiness throughout. I caught some of the earthiness PipeIT mentioned, and lots of regular Oliva tobacco flavor. It wasn’t a complex cigar, but it was very good: I smoked it down to the last 3/4”.
At $2.50 each (a bundle of 20 is $50 at Cigar Place), these are a good deal. If these were the only cigars I could get, I’d have no regrets.
Have you had a My Father Tabacos Baez Robusto? I recently had one of these for the first time, seriously puts the Flor de Oliva to shame. I’d say if you are in the market for inexpensive sticks, give this one a go.
I was looking at those, then I heard somewhere that they have the My Father pepperiness, and passed on it. I’m not a big pepper fan, but I might try one some day.
I didn’t find it peppery at all…
But I always smoke slow, and not big puffs either. Maybe if you hit it hard, but I did take occasionally bigger puffs, and found it actually mild vanilla, nutty, cocoa tastes, as the predominant flavors, and possibly an occasional spice/pepper, but sitting way in the back.
Sometimes, with more budget friendly options, a year in the humi can work wonders. I used to smoke a lot of these entry- level Ashtons that come in little cardboard packs. "Half Corona" and "Senioritas." Pretty rough fresh, but put 'em back for a year and they became pretty goodI’ve had one of these in the humidor since last October, so I gave it a try today, to see whether I got the same as @PipeIT

When I started smoking cigars, I bought like the apocalypse was going to happen in a week. A year later, I have a bunch that have been resting in my tupperdors for at least a year or more. It will be interesting to see how they've improved over the months.Sometimes, with more budget friendly options, a year in the humi can work wonders. I can even recall a "nirvana" smoke with one, years ago on some beautiful October day in my backyard
