...I picked up two of regular New World cigars at a local B&M and they have been in the coolidor for almost a year. Probably time to finally get one out and try it.
I finally tried this today. Overall, it's a pretty nice smoke. Good amount of spice on first third, which mellowed in the second, and came back even spicier in the last third. I picked up notes of espresso, cocoa, and an earthiness. If you like medium-full, spicy cigars, I would say it's worth picking up a couple to try.Fire one of those bad boys up and let me know what you think!
Sounds like really nice flavors for my taste, but yikes on the construction issues. Hopefully just a rare dud. The one I had was really well put together. I have to add, that while it was a really nice looking stick, there were some construction issues. First, it burned fairly uneven for the first third and had to be corrected several times, and second, at the mid-point it started to tunnel and then abruptly went out. I cut about a quarter inch off and there was a hollow spot in the center. I lit it again, and it smoked great for the rest of the cigar.View attachment 212524
I love them. They’re my favorite daily smoke by far. Way better than any of the 2nds I’ve ever had. Burn great, good flavor, never had issues with them. They’re not complex, but they don’t really need to be at $2 per cigar. I haven’t had any of the other Class 34 maduros… I’m interested to know how those compare to the No. 9.How are those? Been curious about them on the Page.... certainly an attractive looking cigar.
Illusione Fume D'Amour. One of my all time favorite cigars but not in this Toro Gordo size.
