I've never been talented with any type of visual artistry but I picked up the guitar a couple of decades ago and that allows me to express my creative side. I did recently pick up a nicer camera and have been trying to mess around learning to use it so hopefully that will be another creative outlet soon.

Sam Maloof is a hero of mine. I've actually referred to having the original germ of this design idea as my 'Maloof Moment'.

If you mean 'art' as a compliment, I will take it as such. Art vs craft is a discussion I've grown weary of.

It's a compliment. There is no art without craft, but not all craft is art. You're an artist. You will just have to learn to live that down.

I love all the creativity in this thread. Here is my passion - building acoustic guitars. This is a shot of my next-to-last after buffing out and after stringing up. The instrument lives now in France.
